• Getting Rid of Chest Acne for Good

If you are suffering from chest acne, then you probably feel anxious and embarrassed about your skin. You cannot simply put on low-neck shirts or dresses, or else, your friends might tease you because of those unsightly bumps on your chest. But, worry no more! There are several ways to get rid of them forever.
Basically, acne on the chest occurs because of the build up of oil, sweat, dirt and dead skin cells on your skin. The best way to fight it is to keep the pores on your skin clean and unclogged. Hence, good personal hygiene is very important.
When it comes to cosmetics and skin care products, a wide variety of them can clog up your pores. Putting make-up foundation, powder, moisturizers, lotion, sunscreen or even body sprays on your chest can cause or worsen your acne problem. Thus, such activity should be refrained.
However, if it cannot be avoided, make sure that you remove the cosmetics on your face and chest, or take a bath before retiring to bed. Also, carefully choose what products to use on your body. You can use cosmetics that are non oil-based or non-comedogenic, or those that do not block your pores.
Men and women who sweat a lot should also pay more particular attention to their skin condition. Also, a person could sweat more during summer or on a hot weather. Sweat should not stay long on the body since it would mix with oil and dirt and clog the pores. Thus, bathing after any strenuous physical activity is necessary to cleanse the body from sweat and dirt.
Also, wearing tight fitting clothes should be avoided if you are prone to excessive sweating. Fitting clothes does not allow sweat to evaporate because they are trapped inside. As a result, your skin is more prone to acne breakouts. It would be better if you wear clothes that are quite loose and are made of cotton. These are the ideal clothes to wear on a hot weather because it allows air to effectively circulate around your skin.
Irritation of the skin is also another cause of chest acne. Again, clothes that tightly rub against your skin are a no-no. Aside from that, there are certain laundry detergents that cause skin irritation, allowing pimples to grow on your chest, and other parts of the body such as the arm and back. You could stay away from laundry detergents that are packed with fragrance. Instead, use detergent brands that are made for sensitive skin and free from fragrance.
Acne on the chest need not be a major problem. It can be prevented and treated if you are paying particular attention on your personal hygiene. You should also live a healthy lifestyle. A well-pampered skin certainly keeps you away from acne outbreaks forever!
