These world-famous salts are extracted from the Dead Sea in Jordan/Israel. The Dead Sea has always been a popular tourist spot, due to the therapeutic properties of the water. The Dead Sea actually contains ten times more salt than any other sea water in the world and as such, is so much denser, which is why you're able to float in it. People have been visiting the Dead Sea for natural therapies since Ancient Egyptian times and the salts are used today in many bath salts, skin creams, washes, soaps and acne-clearing products.
The beauty of these Dead Sea Salts is that they contain:
- no detergents
- no chemicals
- no animal fats
They're completely free from sulfates and lanolin and because they're 100% chemical-free, they won't irritate, an important point when dealing with delicate, sore acne-inflamed skin.
The salts contain 21 different highly concentrated minerals, including magnesium, potassium and calcium, which make them extremely effective in clearing acne, spots, as well as psoriasis and eczema. You'll find a wide range of face masks, soaps, scrubs and cleansers, all specifically designed to gently help clear your skin. These products work in three ways:
- they cleanse the skin
- they protect the skin
- they renew the skin cells
The salts firstly cleanse, then exfoliate your skin by removing any dead skin cells. The minerals are absorbed into your skin and these help push all the toxins out from under the surface.
If you suffer from acne on your shoulders, back, chest or arms, you can use Dead Sea Salts in your bath. Simply dissolve a cup of salts into a bath of warm water and soak for at least 15/20 minutes. Rinse off afterwards with fresh lukewarm water. If you don't have a bath, you can still use the salts; mix a cup of salts with some sweet almond oil into a thick paste and spread this on the affected areas. Relax for 15/20 minutes, then rinse off. Try this at least twice a week to start seeing improvements in your skin.
