• Is There a Right Way to Pop a Pimple?

I would never advice you to pop a pimple because you do not want to cause scarring on your skin. But I know you do it anyway. So I'm going to tell you how to pop a pimple in safest, cleanest and most hygienic way.
First, gently clean the area of break out. You should not try to pop pimple on dirty skin or when it has make up on it. You got to remove the surface dirt, oil, sweat, make up and debris. Using an antibacterial cleanser, first clean the surface of the break out.
Next step in this process is to gently exfoliate over the pimple so that you can loosen up any dead skin and prepare the pimple before you go in and extract it. This exfoliation would also help the pimple to come out more easily. During exfoliation, please be gentle with the skin and do not squeeze or apply pressure. If you can steam your face at home, that would be a great advantage.
The next step is to cover your finger tips with little mitts. You can buy professional finger mitts or you can make a finger mitt by wrapping paper tissues around the two index fingers. What you do not want to do is to dig your nails into the area. There are lots of bacteria beneath your nail. You need to make sure that is not coming into the contact with the pimple.
Now, come over the pimple area and gently stretch and squeeze the skin using your two index fingers. The pimple would pop straight away. After the contents of the pimple - mostly dead cells, sebum and white blood cells - expels itself, gently wipe it off. Please do not spread that around the skin.
After the pimple is popped and all the contents are expelled, use a anti bacterial wipe to clean the area. You may apply benzoyl peroxide based pimple zapping solution on the area using a clean cotton bud. benzoyl peroxide carries oxygen into the pimple and kills the bacteria and stops that pimple from developing any further.
As I said before, it is not recommended that you prick pimples but if you decide to do so, please follow these simple steps to pop a pimple without causing too much of damage to the skin. Homemade acne scrubs can help reduce the intensity of acne infection. However, homemade acne scrubs work mostly for mild acne. If you have severe cases of acne, please consult with professional dermatologists.
